Wristband over the reservoir works best.

Best?

I have been cleaning up power steering fluid on M cars for the last 15 years. I don't want a sock or headband or wristband, I would like a solution so that I never have to think about it again.

I don't mind buying a new reservoir, but would like to hear feedback from some of the track junkies here which one works well/best for our cars on track.

I use a wristband, and I haven't thought about it once.
Wait for the track guys to respond though...

I'm assuming your entry into turn one isn't representative of what you usually do as you were passing another car so the next 15 seconds were compromised.

At 57 seconds in, you could use a cheat line to get a better exit and have a little bit less wear on your tires. You would turn in slightly at the first cone that's standing up so the middle of your car is pointed at the third cone, then turn in. Your entry will be a little bit slower but your exit will be faster. With new tires, this suggestion will probably be slower into the next corner, but your tires will last longer. With worn tires, this will be the quicker option overall. At the exit, unroll the steering wheel gradually and use the curb on the outside.

My TV defaults to 4K which is the only thing I use to watch YouTube. Also my 5 year old MacBook Pro can edit 4K videos just fine. If you don't add filters and you leave it in the native format, the video should save in less or the same amount of time as the duration of the video. Let YouTube or other places you upload it to handle converting it to lower qualities.

Ah well. Shame for us poor folk w no 4K TVs

Purchased a Hero 5. Will report back, but the $100 difference to the 6 didn't seem justified.

Thank you! This is helpful - taking notes. Turn one - yes compromised at beginning of video.

The "cheat line" makes sense and my friend showed me where I can make some adjustments the second day - his FR-S flies away in T5-6, because his line is so much better! I noticed that this day with less grippy tires than his usual, he took wider entry/paths into T1A, T4, and T6. He's done blazing laps with tighter lines towards the middle, but that was while running a different class of tire. (note: T1 entry also a bit trickier here, we had both just passed a car)

Shop I go to cut out part of a microfiber towel and used a zip tie to secure it around the Ps fluid thing. Works decently, but now the yellow rag is turning dark

You were about half a second quicker through that area in this second video, which is a good difference. Lighter cars can get away with all sorts of odd lines that we can't in our heavy M3 so you can't always take the same lines. You have to find what feels best and you can't always do that on feel alone. Some timing device or analyzing the video between session helps a lot. Video is more accurate in terms of timing than GPS.

I got a new 65" LG 4k TV from Micro Center for around $600 about 2 years ago. I think it's still available for that price and it's a great TV. There aren't many bad options for that price range.

PS Reservoir pro level: cheap motorcycle brake fluid canister with cap seal removed to vent, rubber line, and plastic elbow that fits into cap vent. I don't have a picture but I can get one.

Still can't figure out if I actually hit it or not... sounds like it bounced past me? phew! Can't find a dent on my car. Definitely made me worry if it was something sharp and damaged my tires

Hehe it’s definitely a different beast than the original. But once you learn it and Race Studio 3, it’s fine.
