Yes, That's The One To Watch
Quote:
For those that aren't BMWCCA members, you should really think about it. It's $48. per year. You get a great monthly magazine, access to local events: DE's, auto-X's, Tours, social, tech advice, and a $500 to $1,500 cash rebate on your next BMW after you've been a member for 12 months. There is more detail here: http://bmwcca.org/index.php?pageid=new_member. I've been a member for 13 years and gotten 2 $500 checks. I can't see a downside to it.

It'll Be Quicker - Saturday Morning
No traffic to speak of. It's a bit of a haul down there, but you are on the curvy roads almost right away once you leave Cleburne.

It Depends
The last drive we did north and east of McKinney was about 150 miles. With rest stops and a lunch break it was maybe 3.5 hours.
The drive this Saturday is a pretty ambitious one. It's 242 mi (Cleburne to Strawn via Tin Top) with 2 meal stops. It's going to take a while. It's possible you could be home by 3:00 PM. Mark's being optimistic calling this a 1/2 day tour. I just got the route map today. Anyone that wants it, PM me your email address. Note: You don't have to do the whole thing. It's perfectly acceptable to cut out whenever you want.
