Correct. A shorter FD will require the engine to turn at a higher rpm to achieve the same road speed vs. a taller FD; however, the relationship between engine rpm to DS speed doesn’t change when the FD in the diff is changed. I guess I misread your original statement - we’re saying the same thing.
