True! I'm right there with you. At 35, I need a more established and refined street-mobile.

I'm guessing it will be more on the lines of a BOSS 302 Laguna Seca or Porsche GT3 RS than a stripped Z28.

Oh and I'll just put this right here..its a PS..but it still looks marvelous. From my understanding the GT350 will have no foglights.

I like the rear and sides on the mustang. Just not really like the front. Kind of looks like a taurus.

those where solid cars. I although personally find a 2013+ Gt500 not a bad looking car either.

Glad to hear it is going to be a more track oriented car. When will we see them in Continental Tire Series?

Just an update on this...

It looks like Ford is actually building this car. The car will have a 5.2L Voodoo engine, as far as what crank it has and hp numbers are just speculation...more than 500hp and over 8k rpm though is what is thought. This car is normally aspirated.

The car so far looks like it will have 295/35/19 front and 305/35/19 rear Mich PSS. Here is the car in tranist to Germany I believe for more testing at Nurburgring.

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/show...rier-2878.html

Holding off any mods on my 2013 M3 as this car could be out by next summer.

As far as confirmation goes is the fact that the GT350 parts are already starting to show up in Ford Parts database.

Dave

This car is getting more compelling by the second. Especially if you love the C7 and need more space. I just bought a car I LOVE but will HAVE to see what this all about next summer. The only drawback is everyone and their mother is gonna run out and buy this thing. No exclusivity whatsoever.

Well, it is a Mustang so there are going to be more. Still, I don't think it will be a dime-a-dozen car. It will be on the pricier side for a Mustang. I don't really see many GT500s on the road now, and not even that many Boss 302s.

I will seriously have to look at this car. I think it is an absolutely stunning design, and the price will leave me a huge budget for mods. Plus, a high revving 5+ liter NA V8 is going to sound epic, and the car will come with a manual gearbox.

Interestingly, my first car back in my senior year in high school in 1983 was a 5.0 !!

Funny I also had a 1983 5.0 silver with black hood. Spent ton of money on it thru college.

My first Mustang was a 1982 Mustang GT I bought with my bonus money from the Army because I joined the Infantry. I've owned a 1982, 1985 Mustang GT, 1990LX 5.0L and a 1993,1995 and 1998 Mustang SVT Cobras. So I have had my share.

As far as exclusivity the Shelby GT350 will be in the 50K+range and will probably keep a lot of potential Mustang owners at bay.

I'm building a Fox bodied notch with the current Alluminator Coyote motor and was on the phone with Ford Racing discussing Oil Pump Gears (current ones are plastic and exploding) and he let slip that this next motor has significant changes to things like cooling, oil pump gears etc. I would assume it will get an updated crank, hardware and rods as compared to the current motor as well.

nah. most mustang people will be buying the lessor models. like the 4 banger model or GT.

I rarely see GT500`s around town, i think the GT350 is going to be pretty extreme of a car for most people.

I would highly consider getting a GT500 or GT350. but because of my lease i need a car by next summer. So i will probably do a corvette.

The GT350 is going to be announced probably before winter, and be available by next summer.

If i can order one by January and get it by spring/summer. then it might be in the cards.

although i most likely will go vette. because i like the GM small block v8 a lot because i can put a cam in it. Also i like the looks of the vette a lot. Plus i kind of want a 2 seater car before i have kids.
