This is the new 41mm 2020 model. Updated Kermit = (Cermit) Ceramic bezel, 41mm vs 40mm, wider oyster bracelet, and longer power reserve about 70 hours.

the way my AD explained it to me was that Rolex isn't currently accepting new orders because they are so backlogged with orders going back at least 3 years. a customer can put in a request for a certain model, but the only time it'll get fulfilled is if Rolex just happens to make that model based on the availability of component/parts, which was already an issue before the pandemic. it's worse now. the reason why some have been waiting years for certain models is because Rolex doesn't have the parts to make those while they have the parts to make other models.

my AD put in a request for two watches back in January for me and my wife. he wouldn't even take a deposit, because he didn't know when they would become available. (he has one customer who's been waiting since November 2019 for his particular model.) luckily a couple weeks ago, my wife's became available from Rolex so he grabbed it immediately and contacted me. she's beyond happy! I'm still waiting for mine (2021 Wimbledon).

This is the new version. The green dial and maxi case was the one that was discontinued. This one came out this past year

My dad and I got the e9 and 02 out for a cruise yesterday, this felt like the right watch for the day.

Picked this up at an estate sale Sunday for $20. I will probably sell it for a nice little profit but I am enjoying it for now.

what's your thoughts on victorinox WRT quality and durability. i've seen a number of their quartz models under $300 that i really like but i already have a few beaters and not sure i want to replace any of them yet without knowing these would hold up.

Hi,
Thanks for your question .Victorinox makes really solid watches that can handle daily rigors of life to me .
For instance : That watch being a PVD coated case has not lost its coating and shows no scratches either . It's not my daily beater but I am not babying it at all when I wear it as well .
I also have a quartz diver Victorinox . It's also a solid timepiece .I have hit it a few times against the top of the glass of jar while trying to reach the almonds . (It's a different story ).
I wouldn't attempt this on a Rolex albeit Rolex is also robust watch but you know it's not a cheap one and I would not like to scratch it for trifle things .
Well, back to Victorinox ,only downside for me is their bracelet quality. The watch case is very durable and you can feel it when you handle it but bracelet is some sort of failing to match the overall quality of the watch .
Last but not least , as far as I know, Victorinox Diver models can handle a free fall from 1 meters or 2 meters .I think they can do it given their case thickness
