All,

We now have been given two dates for M3post trackday 2022, August 11th OR August 18th. Please respond to the poll with the date that works best for you and let me know if you would like to bring a guest along.

Voted for the 11th, however either day should work for me.

When you talked to Doug, was there a deadline to book?

Based on the other thread we've got ~4 interested from this forum - I suspect each of us could find a at least one other BMW to join

If we start going to the extended network i can probably get 2-4 more non-BMWs to attend as well

Lastly, if any of us are going to BMW CCA's day at Waterford on June 17, we could spread the word there as well

Cool, a few guys I got in touch also said date didn't matter. I have at least 1 more (non-BMW) confirmed to attend. I think if we get at least 12 drivers we can make this event happen from a cost stand point. Let us give this poll a week before I start nudging

I'm out both 11th and 18th. I cannot get those days off work. I can only get Thursday August 25th off if things change.

I have sent a note to Waterford Hills to reserve Aug 11. We have 3 drivers from this forum and so far 2 guests from my end have confirmed. Just 5 drivers won't suffice, we need more to join us; so spread the word!
I will update this post once we get a reservation confirmation from Waterford Hills.

Yes, you can be a total novice. I am sure most of us attending( if this trackday does happen) will be happy to give you some tips and pointers. But Aug 11th is the tentative date. If we are able to get more headcount for 18th, I can request a change in date to Doug at Waterford.

All, if you have commitments from any of your guests please let me know via a PM or this thread. If we cannot get 10 people to attend I need to let Doug know that we are cancelling this event at the earliest.

Jastreb I Agree with MeisterS - not a problem to be a novice, in fact it would be a great opportunity for people new to the track to get their feet wet with a smaller crowd and more direct communication and feedback. Waterford is very forgiving and a great place to get started.

Depending on how many people we have, it'll likely be smart for us to break up into groups so the novices can have their own time out on track and not worry about faster cars running around. If we have the time and enough people interested, I'd be happy to lead some lead-follow sessions as well.

So definitely join us - but also know that PCA and BMW CCA events are very good at instruction - if you think you are interested in track time, try to attend a few of those to hone your skills.

MeisterS I have 1 confirmed guest (non-BMW) and likely 2 more i need to nail down. Would be fun for all of us to get together quickly before the date as well, maybe at Pasteiners or something, so we can all meet and get an official headcount

Yes, we will definitely make arrangements to ensure experience levels match with fellow drivers on the track in each session. I like the idea of catching up before the trackday. Just to go over some details.
A couple more commitments then we will be in business for sure. I checked the Waterford calendar and I dont see our trackday marked yet, both Aug 11 and 18th are open.

Thanks for some of the prompt responses, it looks like both the dates mentioned in my message, 17th & 23rd does not work for a couple of you.
