I've had two valets (KTown and South OC) both compliment the car, talk about the V8, and how their friends love the platform.

Actually got into a brief discussion with one, saying I figured the young kids these days like Audi's like the fixed up one over there, turned out it was his car.

Its 2022!!! I got a Thumbs up from a driver in his new Supra with the BMW Motor!!! Had to return the compliment....sorry we were both next to each other at a Red Light..."No pictures" because our friendly neighborhood police officer was right behind me as we exchange hand signs!! LOL

Recent comment at Ace Hardware. I parked in the front and thought nothing of it but noticed a few glances from the cashiers. When I checked out the older cashier asked me what kind of car I have and of course I tell her BMW M3. She says these kids (employees) have been salivating over your car and taking pictures while you were in the back! The kids begin asking questions and validating that they were right that it was an M3, etc.

This is a special car that I'll never sell and the fact that people still love it after this much time proves that it's destined to be a future classic.

A while back I found myself (and my e92 M3) on a spirited drive with a Corvette Club. North Georgia mountain roads with three lane sections. Mostly C6's and C7's. When we stopped for lunch, several of the 'Vette guys came over to me with comments, "What the hell kind of BMW is this", "Does that thing really have a six cylinder?"
It was the sound that intrigued them. Oh, and the 8,400 red line. These guys were clueless about BMW's so I felt proud that my little alpine/fox caught drew their attention.

It's amazing how even after many generation how BMW M cars still draw attention from younger generation, I remember when I was in high school when I was obsessed with the first E30 M3 I saw passing my school bus going to school!!! It was love at first sight for me!!

Funny how my old Melbourne E92 got a few thumbs ups and compliments here and there, but my Melbourne E90 with no tints gets no attention, super sleeper IMO. Cops don't even bat an eye for an "E90" with no tints, but the exhaust sure will.

My LSB E46 on the other hand always gets looks.

My first trip out with the car and got 2 verbal compliments within my 15 minute errand run.

It may have something to do with the RKP Sport and Corsa combo, not sure though ; )

Parked at the Publix to run in and grab one item. As I was preparing to pull out a kid with a skateboard comes running out of the store headed straight for me. He runs up to my open window and tells me, 'dude, your car is sick....this is my favorite car and yours is so clean'. He was so excited I almost offered to take him for a ride but thought better of it which is a shame. As I pulled out and turned onto the street (it's a small beach community) he was watching me drive down the street and I waved. Looks like it made his day and mine.

Just picked up my second E9x, and so far it’s gotten a lot of attention in person and online lol. Have only had it for four days, and two of those days included a 1,000 mile road trip (one photo below for each of the three states I drove through: Washington, Oregon and California). Every gas station stop lead to a lengthy conversation with at least one person about the car. Really cool feeling!

Is that a trunk or a spoiler? Looks very much like a CSL trunk with the "spoiler" piece painted differently. Unique.

It’s a full carbon CSL trunk lid - painted, but with the rear edge left exposed carbon fiber!

Got it. I have the Vörsteiner trunk, probably the same one you have, but painted the whole thing.
