EDC button not working with new module
Recently replaced my dead EDC module on my M3 with a new one. It fixed the problem of draining the battery but now my EDC button doesn't work.
Only works (lights up) if I hit the M button on the steering wheel. The DSC and power button both work around it when I press them. All I did was plug it in during replacement. Was there a software side of things I was supposed to update? Thanks. |

If I recall correctly, I had to reflash the EDC module with NCSExpert when I replaced mine.
Try writing a blank .man file to the EDC module with the sg_codieren function. |

Haven't done that before so will have to look it up. Do you have any links or steps you can provide for doing this? |

The BMW software package is also available from bimmergeeks. I don't have a step-by-step instruction set, but if you google or search youtube for coding an E90 with NCSExpert, you should get a clear picture for what to do. |

Can anyone help me out here?
My edc button is showing the same behavior. It works with the m button but cannot change settings. Can change settings by reconfiguring the m button in the menu. Other two buttons on the panel work fine. I have not bought a new edc module, just noticed this behavior from the button. |
