The good news is I ran a new pb yesterday of 1:29.09 in the first session after upping my rear spring rates and adding an RD Sport front sway bar
That sucks! So these guys didn't think anyone who bought them would be datalogging to compare and just sold them or just thought it's aftermarket it should work better!

LOL at the 1m ps upgrade - doesn't it have a small bleeder to bottle section?

What spring rates are you running front/rear if you don't mind me asking. My family sedan is too sluggish in the transitions.....
1M PS reservoir upgrade is useless. PS fluid still all over the place.

Yes but I must be missing the joke. I have data from both before and after the "upgrade." The bottom line is the car runs no cooler with the upgraded units.

I actually haven't been yet, sorry! And awesome that you are doing 3 days, sure to be a great weekend.

I did find this video on YouTube with some interesting commentary on what line to take in a race prepped M3, worth a look: LINK

At least you have some data. Do you have any oil and coolant numbers for 72*F ambient temps on track? Saturday at BW AiM says I was seeing Max oil 248*F and max coolant 208*F

I also did the 1M power steering coolant mod, but with one "mild" track day on street tires I wasn't seeing any problems. I'm anxious to run the car in 100*F heat on r-comps and see how it does.
I have several days of data and I will post it up in the next few days when I have time.

I run TDs and the 1M ps mod did not last even the first session at Big Willow and it was quite cool out.

I didn't want to be the only person wearing a helmet and knocking out cones on a course without any workers.

I'm going to a relatively safe track tomorrow, with possible rain/wet conditions, so I'll practice there using the 328i. Great way to break in the new tires I got yesterday lol.

I'm thinkin it's more than just heat for the power steering fluid because mine leaves streaks all over the right front fender and I'm not as fast as some of you guys. Too much drifting perhaps.

I must have misunderstood. I had interpreted that as the car was not cooling with the upgraded coolers due to the F/I.

im thinking of going up to 650-700 to about 800 in the rear.

The car feels fantastic. Not too soft, not too hard...just right. Absolutely the aero makes it feel different. The aero plants the rear like crazy. The problem I'm having is I'm now getting mid corner understeer on sweepers (turns 1 and 2 at WSIR and riverside and sweeper at BRP) at the limit. I've played with suspension settings but I haven't figured it out yet.

Yup. It's the bimmerfest date. A little hectic, but there is a lot of time inbetween runs to walk around and check out the show. It's more of a social track day.

redpriest sounds good. im signing up for green as well.

Wish I could go this year, but I couldn't make it happen with all the things I have going on with work. Would have to do all three days too! Haha.

So----you're saying you switched out the PS reservoir for a POS reservoir?
