I've been browsing on Zpost for the past hour or so... I still think the Z4 is a sexy car. I almost got it instead of the E90

here we are! jk im not one of the postwhores..

does anyone know which trunk lid for the e92 M3 has a more squared design to it? I remember seeing it a few times before it was on a super clean AW e92

Amuse.... or the Arkym one is pretty square but IMHO it looks ugly

yesss your awesome!!! its the amuse one I was looking for I dont like the arkym one either

so winninggg...I want to do an amuse style trunk for my 135 because the 135 is a lot more squared so the only rounded icarbon csl style trunk doesnt flow well with the lines on the 1-series. This one would look bad ass though

I'm not a huge fan of the Amuse

I mean, I like it, just not enough to put it on my own car (even if they made it for an e93 lol)

I like the VRS and CSL styles

Amuse is really a love or hate thing. I think it really needs the full rear including the bumper to compliment it since the two are in the same shape/design, it creates a balanced harmony

yea I think you need to have the bumper to completely pull off the look of the trunk. Once you have it all though it looks amazing!

my supplier already got that 1M diffuser made in carbon fiber... we need a test car badly tho..

I've been trying to get some 1er stuff made but my proposals have been turned down

I want a M3 style quad diffuser. Well really only the distance between the openings. All the other ones are too far apart. The hartge one is super nice but you have to buy there exhaust with it, as it is the only one that fits on it. But I plan on getting a custom exhaust made so I dont need there exhaust haha.

Here is my photoshop attempt at what I would want bluesummer...I posted this up awhile ago before you got into this chat thread

I'm just not sure how / which canisters will fit with that design. So far I think only hartge quads fit on the hartge diffusers. unless you go full custom, and there's no guarantee how it will sound. We are pretty much SOL

yea I would run a full custom exhaust....im pretty sure it would sound good regardless. You have a berk exhaust right? thats basically just a straight pipe no resonators or noise canceling chambers and it sounds beastly. I'm sure I could get it to sound nice

i have stock lol. I'm a N55 so it sounds pretty decent with just golf-tee mod IMHO. Stock to stock, 135 has a better exhaust note than the M3 lol. The section 3 will probably be one of the last few mods on the list for my 135, but I heard it gets overly raspy if I get catless DP. At the same time, I want more power... dammit

I will get catless Dps when im out of warranty. I dont want to have to install/uninstall those when I get service done. And I want to get this custom diffuser/exhaust setup going. If I dont figure it out soon I would probably get the berk midpipes

I can give you a ride in my car at the next meet if you want. Catless DP, Berk Midpipes, Berk Street Axleback. I notice no raspyness but I do get a little bit of drone if I am driving in regular D mode around 2k rpm but if you use Sport mode or manual then there is no drone.

Also HP Autowerks has a 1M, they are already working with a few carbon fiber companies to product a front lip, hood, etc. But you can PM them asking if they want to stock the diffuser / use their car for fitment.
