Genuine question here from a DIY guy who's really getting into tracking: How much more difficult is it to replace the bushings and mounts on an E9X M3 vs an E46 M3? From your post, you seem to suggest that these swaps are much easier on an E46 M3, and I'm just trying to figure out why.
The E46 M3 has been raced for years therefore these parts are developed and available. Companies are also willing to share their setup secrets. The E92 M3 on the other hand is currently being raced professionally and some of these parts are just coming available or not available yet. I have know idea if one is easier to work on or not. Adrenaline Racing built and does all my maintenance. More than anything I think it is a matter of $$$$.........an E92 M3 could cost nearly double to build and maintain........and if you do 25++ track days a year that adds up. There is a major difference in consumables.

update. ordered st-40 front and rear for the car. should be arriving mid august im hoping. will probably go with st race pads. got silver calipers and slotted rotors to stick with my black and silver theme i have going on.

seems like a strange build. dont really care about low miles for track car, or painted roll cage, or use bilstein shocks(cheap). seems like a car without a definite purpose.

I does seems nuts to do this to a car with such low miles.

i highly doubt turner would do this unless on request of a customer. they would build a track specific car if it was them.

I didn't say they did. I said this is at a customers request. If they were building their own car it would look like every other car they build for the rolex gt. Stick to your oil analysis please. No offense.

had a wild and eventful weekend with the car. want to thank a few members who suggest i run a lower hot psi on my nt01s. ran quite a bit faster than i have before, actually over 4 seconds partially because of the lower pressure and part due to figuring out my car better. will post video in the next couple days of a session. unfortunatly didnt get video of my epic spin into the dirt. my car is filthy especially inside. everything is covered in a layer of dirt.

this just in im an idiot. i thought i filmed 2 sessions yesterday but apparently i had the camera take 2 pictures instead. pretty pissed as one included a sweet full session long battle with me and a turbo s. sorry about that. looked at my data and was seeing lower top speed on the front straight then i expected. about 8-10mph slower than my other local track i frequent and lower peak lateral g's as well by a big margin. more sweeping corners rather than abrupt slow ones.
