@Sawzall, Jaypod: Good luck at the race this weekend. I won't be in Belleville so won't be stopping by but hoping that you guys will come out unscathed this time around.

I was at 'bogie last weekend. Worked on a few things like going flat out through turn 1 and turn 16. No check brake, no slight lift. Running street tires (Dunlops DIIs).

By the end of day 2, my inside, rear, passenger side brake pad compound was gone, finished, kaput, dissapeared. Metal on metal... ouch!.. while all other 7 pads had between 45% and 55% material left.

Flat through 1!? You're a madman Tonybest! What sort of speeds were you carrying through there?

I really don't know as I don't have proper data acquisition equipment. I don't know where to buy these sort of things

I just know that I need to take the turn deeper than usual at exit.

Just got back from SF, and can make it to Calabogie this weekend. will work on hotel and track pass now!

Monster-move running flat in #1! I tried that and got scary under-steer on turn in with abrupt oversteer if lifting in the turn, so I have to brake a bit before it.

Were you running traction control on? Or does your car use brake to help the diff? Or maybe the brake was getting stuck?

No traction control. This year I have been driving without it even in the rain... well sartted doing this.

I will have to check things more closely for my next events.
