M3 + Other Track Animals @ Watkins Glen International
All I can say is, if you own an M3, take a performance driving lesson, and you will understand what M is all about.
Also, I think I finally understand why the rear "arm rest" isn't the same as the 335. I think the M3 "arm rest" is designed such that it can be removed for track safety reasons. (correct me if I am wrong) Sorry about the cell phone photos. But hope you enjoy anyway. |

If you never track your M3 you will never realize the full potential of the car.

How much did you punish the tires? Any scrubbing on the outside part of the tread, especially on the fronts? (Front left would take most of the abuse at the Glen).
Also, were you able to go flat out from the exit of 1 through the esses and on to the backstretch. Did you ever note your speed at the end of the backstretch just before hitting the brakes for the bus stop (inner loop)? I can't wait to drive the Glen on this car.

I did a total of about 100 minutes on the track, and the tires still look pretty good.
I hit about 130 on the backstetch. Could have easily pushed further but it was my first time, so just wanted to be more conservative. |
