Clay Questions
Washed and waxed my car. AW and I feel lots of contaminents still. So I'm going to have to clay bar these off. Do I have to stay clear of my front and back plastic bumper areas? I also feel stuff on my rear view mirrors. Never felt the need to clay before, but I can still really feel some rough spots on this car. Also not sure about a polish and then a good wax. Can I get away with a good wax after the clay bar?

There should be no issue with claying plastic parts or mirrors. If you are going to clay, I would polish as well. Otherwise you kind of defeat the purpose of the claying IMO.

Most recommend polishing after using a clay bar. A clay bar will create very, very minor scratching on the surface of the clear coat, especially if your paint is really dirty. On AW you would be just fine claying then waxing. You could skip the polish. Most recommend only claying two times a year. I daily drive my S2000, and I clay and wax every quarter. I only polish once a year.

ive clayed my rear view mirrors, the actual glass, before to get some stubborn spots off. it worked nicely. it worked well on really hard and crusted water spots too.
