This will very much be an inevitable direction long term, in part due to a government’s perception that electricity is better. Studies are still far from conclusive based on life-cycle considerations.

Our (positive) experience will very much depend on the level of electrification and the technology employed. At the core can still be a pure M car complemented with the positive properties of electric motors.

Part of the M experience is the noise. Just like AMG.

well it'd also be ridiculous to assume that a hybrid m-car would in any way resemble a prius. my point is that we don't need to get all worked up about hybrid technology when clearly it can perform at the highest levels.

We can only hope a hybrid setup would allow the return of high-revving naturally aspirated engines a la Porsche 918 Spyder (9150 RPM 4.6L V8).

Yeah and I'll be creating high quality recordings of Mezger flat-6 engines, Shelby flat-plane crank V8's, Lamborghini and AM V12's and selling them together with loudspeakers and suction cups.

None of you fuckers steal my idea! Running to the patent office now...

Knowing BMW, it’s going to be an option to upgrade the engine noise.

ZFE Fake Exhaust Package -$4,300

-B&O 1,700 amp speaker in the trunk provides the driver with best sounding
recorded exhaust note.
