Rear Performance Spoiler Options

Anybody have any experience with any Ebay options? Or is it better to go oem?

Thanks,

Got one of these and installed it yesterday. It looks great! It's a steal for the price! Thanks!

If you are very picky, like some of us, OEM is the only way to go. Price difference of ~$100 makes it a no brainer.

The next best option to OEM is Autotechnic. Those are on the same level.

I don't think one has to be picky. I can notice a aftermarket spoiler 50 ft away

The OEM one is very thin where it attaches to the car. Aftermarket ones are 'fat' and look quite different

Like DEPO tail lights, I think it's OEM or go home

This thread helped me decide on the OEM spoiler. My friend just texted me a pic this morning to tell me it had arrived... can't wait to get it on! What a great way to start my Monday!

Anyone else ponder the Mashimarho spoiler? Trying to decide if I like the aggression for the M.

That spoiler is a mess. It's like they wanted one of those "high-kick" spoilers (which I think look weird) and then decided to integrate a wicker bill or gurney flap. I really question the functionality of that thing other than reducing MPG.

Honestly, I think that thing looks awkward as hell. I also like how the description makes it clear that fitment is 10/10...because that means it probably isn't.

I highly recommend getting the CF OEM spoiler for our E9x M3...the price has drop substantially from 3-4 years ago..fitment is spot on...and definitely worth the premium. imo

Doesn't it kind of look like the ones on the C7 'vettes?

I saw a YouTube video where they did some small scale wind tunnel tests and found that the taller spoilers like that actually do provide either bit of downforce or at the very least, reduce lift vs. the regular high kick spoilers.

And I completely agree.

After the debut of the f80 accessories, I really wanted them to produce one for the e9x and finally there is one. But I have to agree that it doesn't flow well on the e9x.

I'd go OEM. Not sure if I'd prefer black or white on an alpine white.

My vote is OEM with a painted CRT stripe.

I would like to see the opposite of this color combo - body color spoiler with exposed CF edge. I think I'd also leave the indented part directly above the roundel CF.
