I think BAT is the place for this type of car. I am in the market for this exact car, but would rather allow market forces to dictate the price of the car rather than forums. As has been discussed on BAT before, prices for E90/E92s can be very finicky.
I will be a participant on BAT for sure. |

Having sold my E39 M5 on BaT last year, I would echo the thoughts of going that route. It was a great experience after dealing with two supposedly "very interested" potential buyers who came to me (I never advertised the car) through friends. Once you're live, you get 7 days, and you can lower your reserve at any time if you think you need to. The only caveat is that BaT is known for wanting reserves lower than some like, but that is slowly changing. Cars like the M5 wagon my good friend built that recently sold there for $72k have opened their eyes a bit I suppose.
Detail the car, detail the undercarriage, take a zillion quality pictures with a DSLR, and post it up. How often in the future is someone going to find an E90 M3 ZCP slicktop with 20k miles from the original owner? Given how very few there are in any mileage/condition, the answer to that is almost never. I think this car should end up in a collection of M-cars or whatever and not simply be bought to be put into daily use commuting to work through snow. Beautiful car, good luck!

6sp cars seem to have more collector appeal right now. After all this is pretty much the last of the "analog" M cars. Might as well be go full on driver's car with the E9X.

With that being said, the buyer is planning to pick it up this Friday, after which it will be officially sold. Even though I could have potentially sold it for above $45k on BaT, I feel good about the sell price and believe it is fair to both parties. I think the new owner is really going to be happy with this car. |

So where is this car ending up after it's first stop in Nevada? Make it a condition of sale that new owner will not drill the bumper and add a front plate if he lives in one of THOSE states.
