I had the Active Autowerke catless x-pipe paired with an MPE for about three days. It was louder than stock by only a little bit and very raspy. I switched shortly after to a Gintani Race rear muffler after and I love it but it’s extremely droney for daily driving. Also, the smell is definitely strong but I don’t mind it. If you plan on boosting the car you’ll want catless, but if you’re just staying N/A get high-flow cats and/or resonators.

aFe Mach force x-pipe
I did the aFe x-pipe with resonators and have a stock axle back and it sounds a lot meaner, deeper, and aggressive. The downshifts are the best part and you can really feel the midrange torque a little more. I highly suggest this.

Okay, so I am down to another dilemma and looking for peoples thoughts on the options. I am going to leave the stock (unmodified) rear muffler for now, so which mid and x-pipe...
Arkrapovic mid and x-pipe, high flow cats, two resonators w/ stock exhaust or Challenge mid and x-pipe, two resonators w/ stock exhaust I have heard really good things about both of these, I prefer the cat-less but many people have suggested I go with the Akra but has anyone every heard an Akra mid and x-pipe paired with the stock exhaust? |
