camera tickets..

Have you guys down here in south florida had a ticket issued from those cameras ?

Any way to fight it or just pay up.

Ive been issued a ticket for not stoping for 15 sec before making a right turn.

yea dude from what i understood i guess its a law that you need to stop for X time ( i was told 15 sec not sure how much credibility this has, the ticket does not say 15 sec just says you failed to stop when the picture shows me stopped with my break lights on.) before you make a right on a red light. It shows on the ticket i waited 2.5 sec i guess thats not enough...

wow, i didn't know that. That blows.. hopefully you can fight it? But since they have the gay camera i doubt it..

Normally I'd say don't even bother challenging camera tickets, but that sounds like a perfect ticket to challenge. Most red light tickets are pictures of you going through an intersection after it turns red, and you'll never beat that kind of evidence in court. The picture you described shows no evidence of anything illegal, and only says that you waited less than the required amount of time. Sounds like bullshit to me, and I'm not surprised considering how hard up for cash the city is and how few people challenge those types of tickets. Take it to court and get it thrown out. BTW, what intersection was it?

Its was North Miami and 123rd st. Be carefull around that area there are a few including one over by 95 that grabs a lot of ppl.

This is really what aggravates me the only purpose they serve is to bring more money into N. Miami. No police officer would ever issue a ticket for such a thing.

Three damn tickets so far...all camera tix

Right turn without stopping
Red light. (was yellow but a long intersection)
Right turn on red not allowed (the sign was super far back)

It's funny how no points are issued, just fines...about $600 so far

They are annoying.

yea apparently the escort 9500ix can but not sure how well it works. Im assuming it will work as long as they update there gps stuff.

I've never heard of a 15 second law... can anyone confirm the existance of such a law?

i looked it up and could not find anything on it. So im guessing whoever told me this is full of it. What i did find is you need to come to a complete stop and then continue on your way.

I know about the coming to a complete stop rule but I coudn't find anything about the 15 seconds either so it's probably complete BS. Make sure you fight the ticket.
