Help Diagnose this Engine Noise

Just the other day I started hearing this metallic rattling sound coming from the engine bay. It only really shows up after the engine is near or up to full temp. No sign of the noise at startup/cold start. I don't really hear it out on the road, only when I pull back into the quiet garage. The sound doesn't seem to have any correlation to throttle input.

I think I've seen/heard similar videos with this issue. Perhaps the heat shield around the headers? If so, what's the remedy?

Normal tick that we all get eventually. One day someone is going to crack the code and figure out what this is. It's coming from the bottom of the motor. It is not a heat shield loose. For my car I hear it during the summer and all winter it's quiet.

If its the heat shield, you can lift the car up and bang on it with a mallet to get it out of the way, or use a dowel and a mallet if its hard to reach.

Honestly might be my header exhaust heat shield also...
I have been dealing with this undiagnosed issue for the past 6 months and nothing is wrong with the car.. no codes nothing.

Yours absolutely sounds like a heat shield or your exhaust hitting something.
