Uhm, that sounds amazing! Just found the calendar and details, small group, very nice. I may have to ship my car to one of these (after I add a half-cage and seats anyway).

that looks like good times. i think i'd like running in an amateur miata group or something. i don't want to get in the way of the serious guys, but i want to bump and grind a little hustling through the pack... and i want to do it in a $6k car.

That's good to know the heater core is 18 lbs. Looking forward to seeing your cage pics. Planning anything else?

I was really tempted to buy the Geoff Steel intake as well. Similar concept to the one M24 sells for 4,750 Euros plus who knows what for shipping. I will be very interested in getting your feedback. Looks like at a minimum it will eliminate any potential heat soak and would think you could get a solid bump in power. Do you have someone lined up to do a custom tune? I had to talked to Randy at Epic about this intake and he said he could tune it remotely if you are on a dyno that has wifi in the area.

Yes Markert Motor Works has done the tune on the car Now and I'll get them to tweak it for the new intake once it's on.

what about that hose that connects to the intake tube? is that just an egr tube or something that will turn into a vent?

After digging it looks like that is for the secondary air pump. Which I believe when cold start is coded out doesn't work anyway. But maybe Mike Benvo can tell us more.

Is that the only thing they are used for? I guess my question would be; are they going to cause problems when bypassed?

Hey Ryan,
Lone Star BMW is doing race/comp school at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson on May 5-6. I did it in 2015 - do it!
