Cycle if changing to a different fluid. Otherwise just flush with Motive bleeder.

Careful not to over pressurize the bleeder. The seal on the fluid reservoir is shit and can result in sending brake fluid down onto the sensor below. If you catch it immediately, I've always just rinsed the area with water and never experienced any fault codes.

I am happy to challenge any M3 with any mods with my 335xi off the line, in any conditions, including snow BUT, I get to install ANY map I want
Great for you my brother and thanks for the advice. Already had a 335 and bored of it.. going fast gets old really quick. Enjoy going fast

You should get the Foxwell scan tool for around $135 that'll let you cycle the abs pump among other things. Or have someone activate it so you can get that stuff flushed out. Probably only really matters if you're doing track stuff but it's the right way to do it.

I've ruined my brake vacuum sensor this way and it's a bitch to replace. When you change fluid just take an old rag and cut a small slit down the middle, then put it with the slit around the reservoir like an apron. It'll stop any stray fluid from leaking below.

You should cycle the ABS to ensure old fluid does stay in there too long. That can cause corrosion of the internals over time. Likely not needed every single time you change fluid, but should be done from time to time. It is on my list for the spring.

Cheers,

Nothing for nothing, but the lights are backwards. it should look like M not W from that view. Also, if you have comfort access, they can mess with the signal unless they are genuine oem lights. I speak from experience!

Made a trip down to MRF to get a CF Driveshaft installed.
No more Cow Bell noise, engine seems to rev better. Shift feel is slightly improved.

Best of all, the shaft is smooth and THICCC

Mind sharing cost? Can pm me
Thinking doing this as preventative maintenance as I hear it now very slightly now at 78k so I know it'll only get worse... I'm sure cf is arm n leg... might just keep it oem... 🤷🏽*♂️

The shaft was $1,500 and install was about $700.
From what I understand OEM shafts aren't much less.
If you need a new shaft might as well go CF. FYI my car had 116,00 miles so the OEM shaft lasted a long time.

Finally decided to have the power cable and fan harness recall done.
Tried a new dealership, made clear I was picky, and waited while it was done (working from dealership or home, same-same hey).
Good blokes, good work, potentially new customer when needs comes up.
Ps. They invited me into the shop, I din't force myself standing over their shoulders...

I ripped mine apart after they did the recall. I guess the regulator changed and they added a protective shield to the cable to prevent it from getting kicked?

This was the fan/blower only? Guess the cable power is potentially the more serious one, not sure what models that cover? Anyways, easy enought to google on "battery cable" etc.

Agreed on the motiv bleeder, it's really nice and easy to use.

Interesting with your findings on the RBF600. I flushed the fluid in spring, then I did 5 track days with the R this summer, and never ever had any issues, no fade, nothing. Sessions between 20 to 30 min, depending on who you go with...

I think the cooling on the braking system, and the system itself makes a difference also when talking track driving.
