I just went with Michelin Alpins 235/40 & 255/40 on my 313 18" reps for Winter set up on my M3 Sedan. Getting TPMS, Stems, spacers and lugs through BavarianX.

Thanks alot Ben and Gerry (ha !)

You are getting the wrong wheels for an e93 (or and e90 or e92 for that matter.

You generally need something between et18 and et25 in an 8 inch width.

Temps consistently below about 45 degrees.

If you are willing to run at least 12mm spacers on all four corners, you could make those wheels work.

Had our wheel fitment techs check all the 18's we have, and none clear the 380mm 6 piston kit. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

There is also 18x9 et20. I dont care about the rim details as long as its 18in. Now Im just trying to figure out whether Im required to get a staggered setup and which tires to put on those rims.

Why is this?

Stock 18's are 18x8.5 et29 and 18x9.5 et23. So going by this the et35 on 18x8 should work, however there would be a decent amount of gap between the fender and the wheel.

9.5s use et23 and 8s with et35, thats a 12mm difference in the offsets and the wheel width is 1.5 inches shorter so 0.75 inches shorter on the inside. 12 mm is about 0.48 inches so the inside clearance should be fine. The front should be ok as well.

Is there an issue with brake clearance?

The Sport Edition A7 referenced at the beginning of the thread is still available, and should be for most of winter 2010. There are some inconsistencies on the site with showing some of the winter wheels, so if you do not see them, feel free to call me to order.

TR Motorsports have some backorders going on, but we do have a couple sets of BBS for those who want a step up.

I'm looking for an answer to the same question except either OEM 220's or Rep's with the Blizzak LM60's.

That will work, however you might check and see if the wheel is available in 18x 8.5 ET20 as a square setup.

OK, so long story short, how much is out the door a complete set of 18" with the square 235 Michelin PA2 and TPMS:

- at tirerack?
- at the dealer.... OK, got a ball park price: ~3,100 - 3,700 at the dealers. Set is mounted on the wheel style 270, including balance and TPMS.

Thanks!

The sensors are (finally) in for the pre-2010 models. Shipment was delayed from Germany and we were caught short for a few weeks.

Sensors came in for the new models too, but only enough to fill some of our older backorders. More in transit, hitting Indiana next week according to the estimates.

1750 or so, depending on which sensors you need and where the shipment goes (more outside the continental U.S.) That is for PA2 and the Sport Edition A7 referenced at the beginning of the thread.

PA2 is a good tire, but you might consider the PA3, which is available in that size for the same money.

Thanks Ben!!

My e92 is from 2008 so it looks like you have the sensors available now.

I will have to read about the PA3 vs. PA2 to better understand.

A few more questions:
- any other options than the Sport Edition A7s for this set-up? (I guess the OEM 18"do not work.... right?)
- do the BMW center caps fit in the A7s?

Lastly, I also got interested in the "All season" options you described when answering the "marshmallowy" ride question.... I will look into this because I am not planning on driving in deep snow... it is just that I can't use the PS2s in cold weather.
