Now that the M3 is gone... what will I track? :D
This for the time being
http://www.europeanautosource.com/co...-wheels-e89-z4 BIG Thank you to the guys at EAS for helping me out. I told them my track day was this saturday, and they got me ready to go ASAP. They ordered my wheels and had them ready to go for me Also need to thank David for getting the wheels sent down quickly. I'll miss the M, but I'm really curious to see how the Z4 does at Big Willow tomorrow There are a good amount of m3post guys coming as well Track day info: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=742071

I thought you got rid of this.
Instead of this, how about an E30 with a S52 or S54 transplant, mated to a 6 speed should kick some butts. |

A build is too much work lol. I'd love to, but the time/effort/money isn't justifiable for me. I'm thinking of maybe doing an E46 though. Not sure. or S2k. The Z4 is only a temp; I would go crazy if I didn't have something to track here and there Love the APEX wheels too They're super light Not as light as my TEs that I had on the M3 (or maybe they are and I'm just stronger now? ), but still much lighter than the OEMs w/runflats

The price for all 4 of these at retail is about the cost of 1 freaking volk, and you can't really find "1" volk I'm happy with my choice I do have red RAYs valve stem caps though lol. Courtesy of EAS that fortunately had an extra set that I could purchase. I'm not a fan of rubber stem caps at all

I wish BMW had made an "M" version of this Z4 with the S65 motor and carbon fiber fixed roof. What a car that would have been!
Good looking car! |

That would pose a problem with track days. I'd split the difference with a fixed moonroof though, assuming it could be made to work on a roof that small.

I never liked the Z3's ...ever. The Z4's on the other hand, are truly wonderful to look at. Congrats OP!

Congrats. Not a bad car. Though not my cup of tea. Not really a sports car. More of a GT car. I'd prefer a 370z or boxster/cayman myself. Or maybe the older Z4 M coupe. Never quite understood the reason behind a 2 seater GT car.

So the M is finally gone?
Enjoy the Z4! Build an e36 or e46 M3 track car. S2k isn't a bad choice either but parts are not much cheaper than e36/46 parts... |

How come?
Quote:
N54 is better than the S65 around town. The car is smaller: easier to park, fit in small places in LA, maneuver around etc. Less attention from cops too Overall, I would prefer the M3, but as a DD, the Z4 is better than the E93. I've had 2 Z4s in the course of 2 years, and 2 e93s (335 and M3) in the past 3 years, so I am pretty familiar with the two bodies and both engines (n54, s65). Especially a tuned N54. 370Z is a great car, i would take one if the dealer wasn't asking $600/month on it for a lease. Love the Boxster, I used to have a 986, but I really cannot stand softtops after having hardtops over the past few years. Cayman is great, but it's not a vert. I need a vert in Cali lol Maybe if I lived somewhere cold... but I can't imagine not being able to take the canyons to PCH and getting dinner in Malibu in anything but a drop top. Quote:
It's okay, it is what it is. Looking into a variety of track car options Thank you as always Hope the cakes were good!
