Paintless dent repair

How good is PDR? Can these be repaired? I'm always careful of where i park my car except last night when I went to vote. Someone must've gotten out of a 4 door sedan. I've got a dent on my passenger rear wheel well and passenger door.

It all depends on the skill of the person doing it. I've had good success on my other car in the past. You really can't tell except for paint scuffs if it is done right.

The ones on the passenger door could be a problem. There are reinforcement and etc. in the door that the technician might not be able to reach. If thats the case then they'l have to drill a small hole on the door jamb to get to the dent. They have plugs that'll cover the hole up after. But just make sure you ask them to run it by you first before drilling. That was the case for my other car, the Tech couldn't get his tool to the dent without having to drill a hole.

Wheel well arches are tough for PDR...one time I tried it on a prior car it didn't come out very well and had to have body shop fix it properly. Being near a crease is difficult. Maybe some really skilled PDR guys can get it close, but it won't be perfect. Probably better off w/a body shop.

It will vary on how skilled your dent guy’s ability to fix. Those dime size dents are very much repairable.

My wheel arch dent on my e46 M looks worst than yours OP. I thought it wasn’t going to look normal as well because of the crease but my dent guy did an awesome job with great result.

Here’s before and after shots.

A good PDR guy can work magic. Your dents are well within the capabilities of PDR, but the skills of the person doing the job matters.

Thank you all for the reassurance! I'll be looking for someone to fix it.

Agree, I was skeptical at first but had PDR done to my 2008, 6-7 minor dents, one on wheel well and another on edge of roof for $300. Although not 100% perfect, about 98% only I or a professional would be able to identify. Extremely happy.
