What are the funniest compliments you have gotten about your car

I got a nonverbal compliment one time... I was at the auto shop getting my tire patched and I see the mechanics open the hood and take pictures of the engine with their cell phones lol.

Actually to be honest, I think the best compliments come from our own forum members!! Who better than us M3 owners to appreciate our rides and what we do to them? Plus these little guys mean so much when used appropriately:

OK - a little off topic, but when I read how a bagboy commandeered your cart, the first thing I thought was "Gotta be Publix". Then I looked and saw your Geo listed as SoFla. Got a compliment from my Service Adviser this morning: "Still love that M! You ready to sell it yet?"... obviously he's putting on the charm, but he's also told me several times how much he likes my car.

The biggest compliment came from under the hood when I pulled off the lot this morning. I had a really nice and fully loaded 2014 M Sport 328i with all the new gadgets as my loaner. I was just itching to get back in the M3, and all that gadgetry went right out the window when I pushed the start button. It's a bit romantic to talk about the "soul" of the M3, but we all drive one here and we all know it...

Dumbest thing I've heard: (Early 20's Kid) Nice 328i with a M front end conversion. lol

One of the coolest: Older man in about his 50's jogging on his lunch break while I'm eating my lunch in my car parked on the side of the road. He jogs past my car, stops dead in his tracks and does a double take. Jogs back over to my car and walks around it, staring at every angle…all while I'm still inside eating (I have no tint either). Comes to my open driver's side window and tells me what an awesome beautiful car I have. He smiled and continued on his jog. I can tell he really appreciated my car. That made my day.

I go to school in Old Westbury, which Im sure you know, is the wealthiest area in Long Island. People with Lambos and Ferraris will even pull up next to M3s and give compliments. I think its just part of being car enthusiasts

I saw you on Glen Cove Rd at about 4 on Saturday and flashed my lights. Good point about being car enthusiasts, and appreciating different types of cars.

Try being a woman who is in Scottsdale a lot with her Melbourne Red M3. I can assure you, this car is a dick magnet big time! Some guys are knowledgeable about the car, others come over and try to impress me with their knowledge. Mostly they are wrong and I can let it go. Other times, I just can't take it and straighten them right out. Ahhh, ya gotta love Scottsdale!

I remember seeing you too but didn't notice you flash your lights lol. I'm always on the lookout for fellow M3 drivers =) strange enough I don't see many in that area, mostly 5/6 series.

I'm in Germany so the car kind of blends in and being a sedan, even more so. But occasionally I get the true ///M fan, DTM fan, or American that knows the deal...
I was at a car wash and this 20something guy comes running around the corner, jaw dropped, eyes wide. He looks at me and says "Please tell me that is a real M?" I said yes and he walked around it with this giant smile. He was amazed that it was a sedan. We talked and I opened everything up for him to check out and I let him start up El Superbeasto. He was smiling a lot and it was just plain fun. I lost 8 euros in the timed car wash... totally worth it.

I honestly can't stand it there! Haha you should come by the Pavillions some time, it's always nice to have more M3s out there.
