Why must people do this?
Sorry I even started this thread. Hope all you pile on's had your share of entertainment for the weekend.
I post some useful threads about technical stuff or reviewing a exhaust and get little to no response. But this thread gets close to a 100 replies go figure. All you jackasses making assumptions based on a couple of pictures were not here to see how it actually looked but still felt the need to join others to add comments without knowing what actually happened. That said, sorry I even posted this. This forum continues to a amaze me Last edited by ///M///; 03-04-2013 at 05:17 PM.. |

Yes, it is a proper lot and there were enough empty parking spots. In no way I think this has anything to do with what kind of a car it is, it is just someone who doesn't know how to drive and obviously doesn't care about cars in general I really wish I was driving my 225k mile beater Maxima and I would've backed into his bumper before leaving.
I waited around for a good 20 mins and then decided to leave since I needed to get somewhere |

That was probably the next Sebastian Vettel wannabe honing his distance perception skill.
Seriously, did you have ample room on the front to exit?

From the second pic, it looks like your taking 2 spots. It seems like your rear bumper is over the line. So maybe cut the other guy some slack, as you cant really expect him or her to not pull all the way in and have the back part of the car hang out.

Agreed with the other two people. It looks like you were way over the line. In which case over on the Infiniti forums they may be having a flamefest over an "asshat BMW parking job" and how he got back at you by parking really close

Whether he is over the line or not, I would never pull up that close to somebody's car, especially when there are plenty of other parking spots available.

Even if OP was he would be in the wrong - it is what it is. But that doesn't mean the Infiniti has the right to park right up to him just because. Two wrong's don't make a right.

Looks like the better part of your bumper was well over the line so you really can't blame the Infiniti driver. But, while that was a mistake on your part, drivers should have better judgement. I'm sure there was other parking spots available and it wouldn't hurt to maybe walk a bit further to where you need to go. By parking so close, the Infiniti driver risks not only tagging the M3 but also their car, for what, so they could save maybe a few steps?

Yeah, why do people do that?
Why do M3 drivers use up more that one parking spot? Looking at the second picture, I believe I see small trail of white paint on the asphalt which seems to indicates that the rear of your car was way over the parking spot line. I hope I am wrong, otherwise... Last edited by CanAutM3; 03-03-2013 at 04:08 PM.. |

Yes, but op cant be all that upset. If this type of stuff bothers him then maybe next time make sure theres enough room. If he does not have a care about lines then stuff like this shouldnt bother him

I'm getting more and more concerned where I park once my M3 arrives...there's just so many people that don't give a damn about other people's property
