I may end up selling the deansbimmer one in favor of this. Thanks for posting pics.
I solved this by bending it slightly, and JB Welding a silicone hot pad to the inside of the tray for heat resistant cushion.

My install is on this page.

Just because they designed a version of a skidplate first, what makes the Turner skidplate a knockoff when it is a different design in appearance and how it mounts?

Ended up ordering the Turner skid plate, it feels over engineered & has OEM+ design feel but adds over 10 lbs in weight compared to the stock felt pieces.
Thanks for the info about the weight guys. This forum rocks!

Mine is coming in the mail today! I can weigh it and report back. I also watched the install video about 10 times and already looked at the PDF so I will give my insight about the install and add any instruction if possible.

2 years later, but how did the install go?

Are you happy with the Frame mounted setup?

On a whim I found the turner skid plate on sale and pulled the trigger. Impressive piece, fitment was spot on and it cleans up the front end. I wanted to preserve as much of the front drop look.

Finish looks good, I may purchase some black paint for a few bolts. The only con is the additional front end weight.

Shipment packing for the skid plate was destroyed by shipper, I was sure the mounting hardware was lost. A corner of the plate took an impact at some point, not enough for a visceral reaction. The fact the plates remained intact during shipping is a testament to durability.

Whether through experience or luck, the seller shipped the mounting hardware separately so I had all the materials I needed. Separate the bolts into groups before you start the install. Bolts for the frame rails are the shortest of the bunch.

I ended up with two extra short bolts that I assume is used for the e90. It was nice not having to baby the bolts through the oem felt.

It's been about 11 months installed. Still in place and holding on very strong! Highly recommended and a +1 for OEM+ feel!

Skid Plate

Any idea why the Turner Skid Plates are not available until July? Any other current options available? The side bits are now about $95 a piece and I hate to buy them only to replace them in July.

I would be surprised if it even comes out then. They stopped production on them last year and sold the last of them off at a decent discount.

They said they are delayed due to Corona Virus. Too bad to miss the discount.

Any other options out there?
