Hey, folks. I'll have my 19-year old kiddo with me (she will have just returned from school in Japan), and I'm looking for one or more instructors that would be willing to take her on as a passenger.

She's comfortable riding as a passenger on sport motorcycles (since age 8), so you won't have to worry about her shrieking loudly nor arms flailing around in fear, messin' up your zen driving.

( On the contrary, she may ask why the cars are so slow.... )

BJ, the E36 is faster around the track, isn't it?

For the record, I plan to wear cargo shorts, a t-shirt, sneakers, and a helmet to drive. Let me know if that is unacceptable.

If I am wearing panties and a bra underneath 'em, I promise not to tell you.

A helmet with ruffles is verboten, so don't go that far.

That's a good idea, too.

So far, I've only got one M3, and since I'm the car-Novice, there won't be any sharing in Group New.

[Perhaps this will be another good incentive to land a really good job after her college graduation, right.]

Yes, I'd be happy to move-up! However, the listing of the Run Groups shows:
  • Beginner = 0 to 4 Track Events
  • Intermediate = 5 to 9 Track Events
  • Advanced / Instructor = 10+ Track Events

Really. Pictures from the last event show otherwise.

Oh, those pants! No, missed Febraury, but I certainly agree with the gang's bandana comments.

I thought the rule was also that only Group A could have a passenger. Are there any rules about passengers as far as age or whatever? I might bring one of my students. But want to make sure the necessary paperwork is signed since he's under 18. Know anything about this Richard or Phil?

I don't think there's any legal paperwork from the track. You might want to clear this with the parents and get their blessing first. As for passengers, yes it's been the advance/instructor group.........Phil

Just signed up for the advanced group. Been making some cooling system changes so will be good timing for a shakedown test to see if the car can finally handle the Texas summer heat.

Also, my friend Josh signed up for the novice group. He'll be driving my car and I'll be instructing him/making sure he doesn't put it in the wall.

Glad to see we're running CCW...so much more fun than CW.

Sure, but you saw what happened last time I gave a PAX ride...

Seriously though...I'll be running R6s this time so it should be fine.

I drove CCW with Race for Charity yesterday. It was a lot of fun. They only had a few instructors, so I tried to get behind cars with instructors to try to learn the line. I felt like I was driving pretty aggressive at the end and managed to break 2 minutes on a few laps.

Looking forward to driving again with M Club!
