I ask because you may want to just hold off on re-painting since you aren't wrapping it... You're likely to get more nicks along the way, and might as well save the cost of repainting until you decide to sell (if ever). At least, that's what I would do.
I'll post a pic tomorrow if I can - It's really small (1/5" x 0"), and I plan to hold off on repainting, as you said, until I get a critical mass, since I'm in fact not going to wrap.

Hope that helps you get the job done right
Yeah, I saw that... Interesting, but not terribly informative on what to actually do to keep the look. It was more along the lines of what not to do + stuttering when the repaint issue came up.

But it looks so good! Not trying to justify the price or anything, just enjoying myself

Wow, that sounds like a bit too much... I got quotes for just the front bumper in the $600-$1200 range from three different detailers that BMW recommended for frozen paint (one is actually the same guy who would have repainted my bumper - the $1200 offer). If you still want it done, I would recommend PMing some of the people in this thread (and the frozen paint owners thread), as they were VERY helpful in pointing me to the right places.

They have everything over in the States. Us in Canada, we have nothing.

Not much to choose from.

Try iND they can hook you up. All the frozen parts and pieces I've installed are a perfect match.

I have 2 scratches. One on the left hand corner of front bumper, the other on drivers door. I'm having this looked at by a BMW approved body shop. Ill give an update once the doctor has a look.

As mentioned here, the top three paint protection film brands come in matte now, too. I've seen a local C63 Black Series in matte black wrapped in SatinGuard (matte) for protection. It's still slightly different in terms of the matte sheen, but it's still matte. And now heavily protected.
hmmm interesting...i would love to see one in person.

I went through a painful experience with applying a PPF to my Frozen Grey. The Ventureshield material will totally transform a frozen edition into a two-toned nightmare because it's totally matte in finish, and the fozen's are NOT matte, but more of a "satin" color.
After the first install I immediately hated the look, and had it removed. I then did a bunch of research and found the Xpel Stealth PPF. Now THIS PPF worked wonders on my color, but apparently doesn't work well with Frozen Black. I think it all boils down to the individual color. I suggest applying a "test" patch and then view it at varying angles/lighting conditions. People can't believe I have my entire hood covered among other parts until I point it out to them.
I am VERY happy knowing that I am finally fully protected after a LOT of initial headache!
Good luck!

I paid $1,900 for full hood, front bumper, a-pillars, rocker panels, and a portion of the rear qtr panels. Not bad for a ten year warranty, some "self-healing" technology, an awesome color match, and TOTAL piece of mind!
