AW E90 M3

Hello again, I recently got rid of my F80 M3 and was able to work a trade for a 2008 E90 M3. The F80 was a fantastic car, and I'll probably get another one in the future, but I just prefer the sound and feel of the S65 engine. I still have the white E92 M3 that see's 90% track use, so I was missing having a 'normal' E9X for every day stuff. I'm going to try and keep this car OE plus and not do anything too drastic with this one.

Pics --

Overall the car appears to be in good shape. The paint isn't bad, the trim is still good, all the weather strips appear to be in great shape, and the interior still smells like my newer E92 that I purchased way back in 2013 despite this being a 13 year old car. The rod bearings and throttle actuators have already been done (VAC/ARP), so I'm just going to focus on some minor maintenance stuff (oil change, car is over due for a spark plug change, should also probably do pads and fluids soon). I'll most likely shave the reflectors and delete the headlight washers when I have the front end re-painted as there are some bad rock chips. Car sits at 64,*** miles and sounds great. Current spec sheet (all parts came included with car):

- 2008 E90 M3, Alpine White, 6 speed manual
- Slicktop
- LCI trunk/tails conversion (done by previous owner)
- CIC updated (it is not a single hump car, but oh well)
- Fabspeed catless resonated x-pipe
- Agency Power cat back
- Apex EC7 18x10.5
- RE71R 285 square
- Everything else 100% stock

Very clean looking for an '08! Gotta do the CIC center console unit to match the the upgraded system itself — updates the look of interior a ton.

Looking forward to seeing the progress.

Literally made the same jump as you. Went 2015 M3 to 2008 M3 sedan, both six speeds. Same reason, needed a V8 sound track. Congrats on your new toy.

nice car! the sound of the s65 was enough to make you jump back from F80 to E90? i recently made the jump from E90 to F80. and for me the sound of the e90 is unmatched but i cant see myself going back. in my opinion the f80 is an upgrade in every other category....

E90 for sure feels like a race car with 4 doors.

My toddlers love it!

I wouldn't say it is just the sound, at all... I've also owned an F80, and am back in an E9X. May it be all subjective, but the sound is just where it starts. It's the pedigree of the car really, it actually gives me GT3 feelings for a fraction of the price. The feel of the car, the feel of the steering, the redline, how mechanical it is and sounds when being driven hard... If you are looking for just pure output the F80 is superior. But if you've driven a laundry list of cars and have gotten attached to the feelings they give you when you drive, the E9X can't be beat.

Great find...I give you about a week maximum until you go all in on suspension, brakes, exhaust, BBS, rear seat delete, Recaro's, etc.
