Arrow My black frozen E92 M3/now technoviolett!!

Hi Guys.
My name is Christian, I'm 32 years old and come from near Frankfurt am Main/Germany
Sorry, my english is a little bit rusty
The car has been running almost 20k miles, 1 pre-owner, full service, DCT, EDC, carbon roof, leather with red stitching, Competition Package, Drivers Package, wheel spacers.
I let tinted the windows and mounted a carbon airbox with am BMC airfilter. That sounds awesome.
Next parts that will be installed:
BMW Perormance exhaust, cat replacement pipes, rear spoiler and front splitter made of carbon, aluminum pedals.
During suspension I still don`t know what I'll do
In any case, the car will be lowered down

Thank you for the warm welcome here in the forum
I've allready noticed that the paint is very delicate to handle. When it`s cloundy you only see the matte colour. But when the sun shines on ist, you recognize the saphirblack-metallic And also every tiny scratch on it

First, I was looking for something different
Melbourne-red, Valencia-orange, alpin-white
The main criteria were: Competition Package, DCT, under 25k miles, not more than two preowners, all services done by BMW, no accident or repainted
And then I found this one in the internet, only about 35 miles away from me

@GERMAN M3
Karsten you were raised up as a child in Munzenberg if I have understood correctly?
Itīs not far from where my wife and I live

Thanx guys
Today I installed the LUX H8 160,WOW
The lighting looks brilliant

In the next few days my Performance Exhaust arrives and then, I think, the car sounds like it should have been engineerd

I still can`t decide if I go for a KW V3 or just the Eibach springs to lower the car a little

Beautiful M, love frozen black. Such a perfect color to expose M lines.
What CF airbox is that if you don't mind me asking?

I bought this carbon fiber airbox on ebay:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/BMW-E92-M3-S6...item3ab378e172
The seller agreed to my price proposal
The box I have, however, only once made with a garden hose and cleaner from the inside clean as much sanding dust from the carbon was still present.
This would not be so great for the throttle if it had been sucked
This is the same carbon fiber airbox principle, which is also available here, but much more expensive
http://www.bmwm3shop.de/product_info...irbox-S65.html
The carbon fiber as a resonance chamber has a very different sound as the original plastic
I can`t explain it in words, you must hear it

Hi guys.

In October I have finished the current season and I thought about what I can do to make the car more unique

By every cleaning I saw the various scratches in the paint
That sickened me

So I decided to say goodbye to the matte black, also two locations further there is another matte black M3 So Iīm no longer unique in this area

You cant polish, you can see everything and I didn`t like it anymore

So I let my painter doing a pattern, and this colour reminds me of days gone by
Unfortunately, this colour is no longer available at BMW

Here are some pics from the last ride in October, and some pictures my painter sent me about the current stand

Awesome to see another frozen black! Great looking car, very jealous of the carbon airbox

Do you have any rubbing with your 265/f 295/r tire setup? Looks amazing, no need of spacers with that much meat on the tires. I'm sure forum member slicer could confirm but you may have fender rubbing issues if you lower the car, at least without doing any other adjustments, just a heads up!

Frozen black is deadly!
It's unfortunate you're having problems with scratches.
I hope it works out for you

Today I visited my painter and looked what happened so far:
The windows were removed without any damage, also all rubber seals.
At the back, the rear wheel arches get a bit of inside painted so that no one sees the transition from matte black to the new colour
The MPE was also removed because of the spray by painting

@automotiveaperture
I didn`t drove much in october, maybe 300 kilometers and the weather was a little bit cold, not the best conditions. So I couldn`t test it very well if it would rub But so far, there was no rubbing
Don`t be jealous, buy a carbon airbox

@djDori_C
At first I was so impressed by the color because it reminded me of my old bike
Only the more I looked at the paint , the more damage from stone chips on the hood and the frontbumper I saw
What good is it to me if the previous owner didn`t treat the paintwork with care

Nice color but sad to know you didnt keep the frozen black, if you know how to keep it there are no issues, after 3 years mine keeps the same paint finish as the first day I picked it up from bmw

@edu09
What will you do against stone chipsand scratches on the front and bumper
The filler is white, and not black like its written on the label inside the hood
So you can see a lot of white dots on the hood
And there is no way to get a perfect look by only painting the bumper and the hood.
The transition must be clean while painting.
You will always see the difference from the fenders to the hood/bumpers.
So I made my descision to say goodbye to matte black

How many miles have you run with this colour? Mine has about 23k miles (37k km).
My E46 330i convertible for example, had gone about 90k miles (145k km) than I 've let repaint the fenders, hood and frontbumper for the first time
IMHO, the quality of workmanship is better with the older models
