Climate Control Issue Question

I have an 09 e92 and have always had the temperature set on 72 on auto. Never really changed it until yesterday. That's when I realized that I can't adjust the temperature on my passenger's side. Turned the knob left and right but it just stayed at 72. All other buttons work but I just can't change that. The "rest" button works okay too. Is this just a busted knob or am I missing some sort of settings?

Sounds broken to me.

Is the "All" button selected?

That button syncs the driver side and passenger side.

'08s and '09s don't have that buddy . Without a 'dual' function, turning the right knob should adjust the temperature if system is turned on. If not, time for a dealer visit. Keep in mind HVAC settings are part of 'key memory', so it might not be the knob itself. Hopefully your dealer will know what to do. Good luck and keep us posted.

UPDATE:
Took it to the dealer and they ordered a replacement for the IHKA. What surprised me was that they had to reprogram the whole car just to have the new AC unit puts in. The CAS reprograming changed the car setting a bit. The NAV-promt screen is now different, and the car starts out in D vs S after a shift from reverese. Haven't noticed any changes in the DCT lag, but then again I never had much of it before.
And when I was picking up the vehicle, I saw discolorations on the passenger's side mirror. There was blue and yellow spots on it. Turned out that when the car is left on for a long time (for programing) the mirrors gets heated up to the point where they start to change color. The tech told me that it happens to all cars. Just let it cool down and the discolorations will go away. He was right but it took about 3 hrs.

Good info. If I ever have to get car reprogrammed, will remember to pull the heated mirror fuse. And yes, everything is interconnected on these cars; a freaking nightmare if having electrical problems... after warranty. Take care.
