what maintenance should be done at 30K miles?

my uncle's M3 is nearing 30,000 miles and he does all his maintenance himself. what is done at the dealer for the 30,000 mile service?

dont reply " its free just take it in" because he does not like anyone else working on his car.

Sounds like me . It's spelled out in the manual, and it's also going to depend what he has done so far. But basically it calls for engine, tranny, and differential oil changes, and engine & A/C air filter changes. Brake/clutch fluid is every 2 years. I'd do a coolant change too. Other than that, check brake pads, hoses, belts, CV/steering boots, etc.

The trans fluid is recommended only for 6MT I believe. Not that I really believe the lifetime fill crap on the DCT, but nevertheless.....

Other than previously mentioned, I had my pads and rotors replaced, though it took a considerable amount of negotiating to get this done.

How come? Was it a question of whether they still had life in them?

This is all correct according to the TSB, however spark plugs are a 37,000 mile replacement item as well.
