e60 m5 have the equivalent of the 240E software update?
my dad has an '08 e60 m5 and is curious to know whether there is a software update for the e60 m5. my guess is yes, but he was told otherwise by his BMW service rep.
anyone have a definitive answer on this?

Does the M5 have a "readable" ignition key same as the M3? (SA puts the key into a reader at the dealership)
If so the readout should list the current software version and if an update is available. |

The latest software on the E60 M5 is 160EEAUS1.
The latest for the M3 is 240EEKUV0. Both are US spec version numbers. Most M5’s will be on 160E (the latest) especially 2008 model year and up. |
