I watched some of the videos on the forum and similar to what many of you think i believe the eisenmann is still the best deal.

Exhaust is a good first mod. I would either go for exhaust or tune.

You can also go for the remus sport/race route. I think that's 1k+ cheaper than eisenmann. Both eisenmann and remus require connecting pipes that costs around $500

I did the Dinan setup and it was just over 2k. I just did the rear section to keep it smog legal in CA. Do the Dinan if you want an exhaust thats clean and mellow at low RPM's and a screamer up top. The other bonus is the dealer where I get my car serviced installed it along with a bunch of other goodies, so hopefully no warranty issues!!

I actually spoke to the head foreman of the dealership i usually use and he told me that if i purchase the eisenmann set up that bolts on and doesn't require any cutting that i also would not have any warranty issues.

lol

this makes me laugh

What warranty are you voiding if you cut your OEM and weld the Eisenmann rear section?

Your exhaust warranty? ? They can't void your engine warranty because of you toyed around with the exhaust? I suggest you find a new dealer to service your car, that is plain ridiculous.

It may make you laugh but its true, my buddy took his M5 to the same dealership and they kept giving him shit for having an aftermarket exhaust and blamed every problem he had on the modification that he did (only exhaust). They basically never fixed his problem and he ended up returning his lease. It sucks how each dealership seems to have their own rules but that has been the general trend with most that i have dealt with.

i have the Dinan rear with the Dinan midpipe. it does the nice deep tone in the lower range till about 4k then it gets higher pitched after 4k till redline. it won't be as high pitched as the V10 but it sounds so sweet. it is good quality and lower priced then the Eissmann has no drone and doesn't void warranty

the only other one i know of that has no drone is the Akra but it is pricey

My buddy had the Eisenmann Race on his M5 and it sounded amazing. I like the deep sound at low speeds while getting those higher F1 sounds at higher speeds. Can anyone recommend a good local authorized dealer in the CA Burbank area or somewhere near by?

you would be suprised at what dealers do when there are mods on the cars. the only mods i never had a problem with warranty is the Dinan products. my friends have had the same car and same mods but diff brand and have had there cars flagged by dealers and warranty voided
