Time to winterize the M3....how do you guys stand it?

Man it's getting cold here in SoCal...going to be down to 75 deg. today

Seriously, I feel for those of you who have old man winter coming...I can't imagine what it would be like to not be able to drive my M for the winter....I lived in downtown Chicago for three years and would not want to drive my M in the snow/salt conditions for sure! It was 86 deg here yesterday

M3 is my only car. I 'll be driving it all winter. Granted I live in southern AL and it doesn't really snow, but will be driving to VA for xmas. Salt can be washed off. It's an M3 not a Ferrari

Too funny, you remind me of when I first moved to Chicago. At the time I had an older (restored) Mustang convertible. I pulled into a self service car wash to make certain I got all the salt off the car after a business trip. Imagine my surprise when the spray just froze into icecicles hanging off the trunk of the car....needless to say, that was my last attempt at washing off the salt in the middle of winter

Yeah, but you have to live in SoCal. I'll take Chicago any time; or Philly, or NYC, or Minneapolis, or ....

Ha! I'm moving out of the snow capitol of the country (Syracuse not Buffalo) next month to Delaware. It still won't be as nice as the real California (NorCal), but I'll survive.

On topic part of the post:
I spent 2 winters in Minnesota. Just bring the car to a touchless car wash once a week to spray the bottom of the car. There will be some icicles after you leave but it still gets the job done of clearing a lot of salt off.

Yeah style...nice temps - but I've heard about those "love bugs" you have down there and I think I'll steer clear of them
