Before my 1200 mile service my avg was around 12 mpg. Now driving normal to and from work with a avg speed of around 70 mph, I'm getting 22 mpg. If I drive a little sprited the mileage drops to 19 mpg. On the autobahn at 100 mph with the cruise control set I'm getting an avg of 20 mph. Which is fine with me.

with 220 miles on my coupe I'm getting 13.8 MPG around town driving in a suburban area, no racing, just driving. Trying to keep the RPM's between 2200 and 2600.

Typical 1 mile stretches of 35-45MPH with stoplights ever 1 mile stretch or so.

Sucks

thats silly to say. just because the car costs 2.5x as much as a prius doesn't mean the fuel economy is something to not think about.

if you go by that logic, you shouldn't be buying a 335 or a m3 for the speed/power, cause relative to my evo, they are both very slow (m3@414bhp, evo@~600bhp. and my evo was half as much money as the m even with all the mods.

my fiancee and i are looking to buy an m3 sedan for her, and fuel mileage is important. will gas at 5 dollars a gallon break the bank? of course not. but we still take it into consideration. if your money is that important to you, how about you just give it all to me

Where is the gear change indicator and how do you activate it?

11.7 MPG city driving around L.A. with 400 miles on... ohh well, gas prices keep on going down anyways... so it's all good for now i guess...honestly i just dont like to check this stuff anymore, when its time I fill up... in the meantime, enjoy the car like others said..

My main irritant is that the gas tank is small relative to the gas mileage. I feel that I'm always filling up the car.

I have 2000kms on the E90 M3 so far. average 15L/100km...I am very satisfied with the number already. I don't drive very much during this season. Last time I bought gas was 5 days ago and I still got 1/2 tank left.

averaged 19.1 last tank, and its reading 18.8 right now. this is the obc.
I drive about 70/30 hwy/city. and I do "drive" so I think thats pretty good.
I think if I put it in D every time I got in for a full tank I would probably get over 20mpg's
woot.
