Megan racing exhaust + secondary cat delete

Hi- I'm currently running a Megan racing exhaust and have a few questions:

If I remove the secondary cats and keep the resonators will the exhaust drone more than it does now or less?

Does anyone have a sound clips that's running this setup?

I live in MA so no way to run test pipes with our strict vehicle inspections.

I have the Megan and removed the resonators but kept the cats. Drone really isn't too bad, in fact I'd like it to be louder. I'm tempted to get an xpipe or test pipes now

Deleting the resonators will make the exhaust note more raspy, not sure if that's what you're going for. If you don't want to mess with swapping cats/test pipes for inspection, secondary cat delete might get you more sound but won't really add much performance.

No. I'm not touching the resonators. Already too much drone. I've read that removing the secondary cats doesn't increase drone, but does increase sound a bit.

Don't want to start chopping up my exhaust until I get a few more data points.

this won't probably help you but i had a resonated test pipe with stock x pipe (2nd cat and resonator still intact) paired with megan and it had a little drone around 2-2.8k rpm but quiet everywhere else so i removed the 2nd cat and its a little louder and a little louder in drone as well! so i would assume it will make the drone worse

^^^ that is helpful, thanks. Sure wish I could run catless test pipes. MA vehicle inspections are the worst!

Maybe 3 times as loud as the dead silent OEM exhaust. Not nearly loud enough for me. My F80 ZCP OEM exhaust was much louder. Cold start is pretty loud, but your neighbors should be fine as long as you are few hundred feet from closest neighbor.

Also, I'm not so sure I like how the Megan fits. I'm pretty sure they sent me the e90 version with shorter tips. I have it pushed as close to the bumper as possible.
