I just saw this pic from the concept...
Kinda pisses me off as I would adore an alcantara steering wheel...
Also, the shifter looks better too. |

yeah those steering wheels are really nice, but I change them all the time because they wear out so fast, and customers are never happy with them due to how fast they wear out. They would be great if you always wore leather gloves when you drove, then the oil from your hands wouldn't kill them.

I've seen cars with them and they look horrible from the daily wear and tear...pretty in the beginning but ugly in the end

In some other thread about real carbon trim, there's a steering wheel that looks exactly the same, but on the top handle it has LED lights that indicate the engine speed. That's what I want but they only have it for the 1-series atm.

my friend managed to get it from a Tii showcar when he was in Germany.
apparently the one (or at least the Tii concept) and three series use the same SW. lucked out... i think the guy that did my custom wheel can re-wrap stock E9x SWs in alcantara. You can try contacting Tommy at http://www.robson-design.com/english/profile.htm cheers |

Given the stupidly rev-happy attributes of this engine, I think shift lights on the top of the steering wheel would be brilliant.

You said the 3 series and the 1 use the same wheel as the M3?? What is Tii? If so then Im down to order it like how I got my OEM CSL Wheel... Thanks I like the Alcantera ///M Wheel. I have the OEM CSL Alcantera Steering Wheel on my E46 M3 and I love it. Goes Great with my Suede Headliner!
