Is this the "Plug and Play" version that plugs straight into the existing EDC wiring and allows for use of the factory EDC buttons?

yes
No such thing exists as per KW. They do make OE switchgear compatible DDC coilovers, just not for the E9X.

This requires use of their separate DDC switchgear

6ixSpd is correct. Unfortunately factory EDC switch is not utilized in the KW DDC models made for the E9x cars. Dampening adjustment goes thru a separate switch, can be mounted at various locations inside the cabin up to owner's discretion
