Brilliant White ESS at M-Fest and Interior Pics
Sorry for the delay in getting this up, but better late than never. I have other M-Fest pics to post up soon as well. I had a blast at M-Fest and it was great to meet some people from the forums out there. I am looking forward to the next event. It was my first M-Fest and my first time on the track. I do not have my track whees/tires setup yet (soon that will change), so I ran on my 20" Vorsteiner wheels and PS/2's, which handled surprisingly well.
I was shown the lines on the track by one of the instructors, Palantirion (Earl) on this forum, there in his ESS S/C Z4M. After that it was time for some laps in my car. I was cautious at first and then got a little better after a few laps. The next session the instructor took me for hot laps in my car. This helped me learn how much later I could brake and how much more speed I could carry into the corners. On my next set of laps I was much improved and even passing cars! I had much more confidence and was able to use more of the car's power thanks to Earl. I did not want to the laps to end. One of the last sessions of the day was the instructor taking my car out again with three passengers. They were potential ESS S/C customers that wanted to see how the car performed on the track. Well with four people in the car like the "Ring Taxi" it handled great and still had tons of power around the course. Everyone was smiling ear to ear when exiting the car. The car handled fantastic on the track. After several sessions it never went into limp mode and never had a hint of overheating. The power out of the corners and down the straights was awesome! Of course the Brembo BBK was up to the task without any sign of fading either. I had an absolute blast on the track and I can't wait for the next track event close to home. Here is a link that Palantirion posted about his driving experience at M-Fest and LVMS. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=380438 Here is a video from the track as I filmed the "Ring Taxi" As for the mods, I'm sure you can pick them out but here it goes. The interior trim is now Matte Silver CF thanks to MA Carbon and also Gloss Black with Pearl thanks to IND. I love the Matte Silver CF as it still retains the depth and 3D effect without the high blinding shine of my old gloss CF. There are a few other pieces to come in for the interior, so it is not quite complete yet. IND also color matched in BW the hood vent grills. As for the badging, IND came through once again. I had a special request and they were up to the task. The face of the badges are BW and the outer/inner sides are Gloss Black to help it stand out. I absolutely love how they turned out and in the sun they look even more impressive IMO. Green///Hell has a similar style on his badging thanks to me and IND. Oh yes, the intake manifold and blower. IND performed some of their most impressive work to date on my intake manifold and blower IMO. They are both finished in Gloss Black with Pearl, and the ESS Tuning logo painted onto the manifold instead of using the common badging. In the sunlight these two pieces really pop with the pearl. They are absolutely stunning! Now on to the pics...... ENJOY! Thanks for the kind words. You have my favorite ESS manifold to date.
Here is a shot in the sun we used a Lamborghini black paint and then added the same amount of pearl that comes on the OEM brillant white.
