Do you mean not a single 18" wheel APEX makes clears? Not even the EC7?

I really don't want to run a 19" at the track

The CCB brake packaged is extremely large, and even the OEM 19" wheels are extremely tight and have had some issues with debris being stuck between the caliper and wheel. I am not aware of 18" wheels that are able to clear the CCB's, but no 18" APEX wheel will clear. 19" wheels would be needed. The carbon brakes are a nice upgrade, but do have some downsides when it comes to clearances. We do have 19x10" ET25's that make a great square setup for the car, but are planning a 19x11 ET44 rear fitment for 2018.

How does brake clearance on SM-10 compare to the EC-7? I am currently running EC-7 for my track wheels and they clear my 380mm BBK. If it's the same as EC-7, I may be in to buy a set of SM-10 for street use, 18x9 and 18x10 with stock tire sizing 245/265

kpewpew,

That is a great question! The SM-10 and FL-5 have been designed to boast the same inner clearances as the EC-7 wheel. With the reinforced lips and I-beam spokes, the SM-10 maintains ample clearance while cutting weight and improving strength.

However, if you wanted to go with our 18x9" ET30 SM-10 wheels up front, you may need a small 5mm spacer to clear that massive BBK. If I recall you are running the Rotora BBK, which we have not directly tested in house with our 18x9" ET30. We do know that a similarly sized Brembo 380mm does require a 5mm spacer with our 18x9" ET31 EC-7 wheels for context.

Alternatively, you could run the SM-10 in our 18x9.5" ET22 and 18x10.5" ET22 fitment that will clear your brakes without issue.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to me!

- Max
