The e92 with the upgrades you've done looks stunning. Keep modding both!

LOL, I have a feeling the F80 will be the last "true" M3, considering the next generations might be AWD with a traditional automatic!

It is only an issue after 120k miles for 2008-2010ish cars. Get new motor mounts too.
They fail at 80k-100k miles. Only $100 each (OE).

BMW S65 used soft lead/copper bearings for 2008-2010.
BMW switched to harder tin/aluminum for 2011-2013.

Get BE Bearings. AutoTalent and BE are the same company in Gardena, CA.
If you install the BMW WPC Bearings you didn't really fix the problem.
Blackstone Oil Test.

Switch the oil to Liquid Moly 10w60 with Mann/Mahle filters . BMW and Castrol Oil sucks. You will burn 1L oil every 5-7k. If you use Liquid Moly or Motul, the oil burning will stop due to the great additives. Also add LM Cera Tec oil additive. Change the interval to 5-7.5k miles. You can do an oil change for ~$120 vs. $250-400 at the BMW dealership. Buy some oil plug. If the threads strip, the oil pan is aluminum and extensive to replace.

You can do the same for your F80 S55. LM 5W40 BMW LongLife-01 oil, instead of BMW 5W30 junk.

CORTECO-MICRONAIR is the Cabin Air Filter OE for $45.

OE Mahle Air Filter instead of BMW is $35-40. Different P/N for different years.

The S65 throttle actuators will fail around 80k miles. Since there are 2 TVAs, always replace both. BMW used to charge $1100/1400 each with $1000+ labor. Now they are $600 each. Get a pair of TVAs on sale on Black Friday this year or next.
LSD oil is $150 for 1.5L (3 bottles), so that is a Black Friday Sale purchase as well.

If you do the TVAs then do the Spark Plugs and Valve Cover Gaskets (leaky) all together. NGK plugs are $9 vs the BMW NGK plugs at $30. Gap the NGKs.
Interval is 37k miles, which doesn't make sense. Platinum plugs last 75k miles.

You will probably need a new battery after 7-8 years. I think BMW does not carry the original battery. Get the latest BMW P/N.

Look at Afe air filters and intakes. CF intakes are nice. Eventuri as well.

Since you own two M3s get Carly SW and an OBDII Wireless Plug to code/diagnose your cars and clear codes. Carly went to a yearly subscription, so get the old app.

Check out Alpine Alex in LA and BPM. DCT GTS Tune is a must.

Wrap the front of your cars with clear bra. Ceramic Coat the rest. LA highways are brutal on paint.

Check on the latest recalls. Airbag, Blower Wiring, and Battery Cable.

If you do all your own work, familiarize yourself with FCPEuro. Lifetime Warranty on everything including fluids. Nothing in Life is Free, except at FCPEuro.

Enjoy. Great carz.
Wow, a wealth of info. Thank you!

Congrats on your E92! I just bought one to go with my Z4. Which splitter did you go with? Turner? It looks like they fit well.

The new addition! 12/2/18

Picked up a 2009 Alpine White over Black DCT, 1 owner, 32k miles!
Visiting pops to show off the new ride.

Sold my SG ZCP E92 to a local M enthusiast! It's in great hands. SG was a great color but I really wanted an Alpine White E9x.

First couple mods:

A fresh set of Mint OEM 359 wheels
New set of Pilot Sports 4S mounted in OEM size.
New set of OEM floor mats
Removed window tints

Next up will be the suspension, not a fan of the off-road look.

Took a visit to the Port Hueneme BMW Distribution Center, I'm sure a lot of members cars went through here.

How she sits as of 12/9/18

Interesting swap, new one looks great.

I know you were looking for a stripper model so I’m surprised to see the options on this car given your criteria.

The color and miles carry more weight, so I get it

Both my E9x cars were 1 owner cars. Enjoy!

Ha, I wish. I sold my SG one to find an Alpine White. It literally still has the new car smell.

Yes sir, I saw this one pop up not too far away. I scheduled a showing with the owner and honestly, I really didn't expect to buy it since the only two things that really piqued my interest was the miles and the color.

After seeing it in person, honestly, it could have been off the showroom floor. The interior looks unused, the owner said the car has never seen rain and I believe him. The undercarriage looks brand new as well. It was just too clean to pass up. Since it's not a ZCP it gives me an excuse to shop for suspension this Christmas.

Just crazy to see the overall brand new condition of the car: like the owner never drove it during the whole ownership.

2nd round of upgrades -

12/12/18

Installed my OEM LCI tails and had Alex from Alpine code them and EuroMDM as well.

The rear looks so much better!

Definitely agree: LCI tail lights give it a way younger look and stance.
Details always do make THE difference.

Now you have 2 white cars.

LOL, I've actually been all over the map: ran my family's clothing manufacturing company and chain of stores straight out of college, then decided to branch out on my own and had a stint in IT as a network engineer for about a decade. Now I'm a Senior Consultant for the largest automotive retail chain, but more importantly a full-time dad to 2 beautiful little girls.

I'm just a huge lover of all things automotive, especially BMW M cars. My wife understands my car addiction, she knows it keeps me busy and happy.

Wow if it wasnt for the ///M matt Id would have thought the pic was taken from the sales broschyre! Never seen a novilo seat without any wrinkle at all - congrats!

Thought 2009 had LCI light but clearly still learning, nice swap.
