Swift Spec R Springs Installed

Well the deed is done and I'm thrilled with the results. The springs are finally on. The photos are one day after the install. The springs haven't settled yet but the drop in the front is already 3/4 of a inch. Once they're settled I should see a full inch. The alignment was done without removing the pins. No rubbing issues noted. See Specs below............Phil

Update on Ride Quality.....Had time to take a drive with the CEO in the car and all seemed well. The ride quality seems to be on par with the factory springs. Although I will say you can tell something is different. I'll have a better feel for them next weekend at the track. Also, as others have noted, body roll has diminished some.......not sure how Swift has been able to do this. So far, so good ..............Phil

Looks great man!

Did you just install the springs or did you attempt to increase the suspension travel with e36 bump stops or shaving down the strut guards?

To me, the ride was like going from Comfort to Sport on a non ZCP car. So everything is just 1 notch stiffer, but completely OEM feeling. I love these springs, I couldn't be happier with them too.

Looks great, not sure I've read a single post on here where a user was not happy with their Swift springs.

This was a spring only install. Did some reading and decided that Swift developed these without the E36 stops so why change them.

Right now there's less than a inch getting in my driveway. After my track day next weekend (springs will settle by then) I'll measure from the ground and give you a number.

Yeah I had thoughts of going Dinan stage 2 but I really like this option. I'll have more feedback next weekend.

I do indeed have EDC and as stated by W///, it's almost like another setting has been added.

Very cool. I've been looking for a nice set of springs, as I love the stock ZCP suspension, just want it a tad lower. Did you install the so-called e36 bump stops? Or just installed the springs , did alignment and off you go? Simple as that? Really diggin this setup for mine if i can get away with doing just springs and alignment. Not looking to spend crazy money on a KW suspension and change everything I love about the stock ZCP EDC.

No E36 bump stops used. Install springs and get the alignment. Almost a plug and play mod

Just a tad over 50k on the shocks. You should be fine at 60k.........Phil

I've got 83k miles on my car now. I think I installed them at 70k something, perfectly fine.

That looks awesome! I was wondering how a 275 with that ET rim would look. Only problem now is finding out if a 19x11 with a 295 and ET 25 play nice with that kind of drop.

they play nice, until you go over a huge dip at high speed with more than 2 people in the car... not that I would know...

Here's mine. 19x11, ET27 (but I'm not 100% sure). It's pretty close, and it rubbed off that little high spot on the wheel house liner, but does not touch the body at all. I've had 4 adults in my car too.

The rear is 295/30/19
The front is currently stock size, but that's just the way they came with the wheels. I'm planning on going 275/30/19, and the wheel specs are 19x9.5 ET22 (again not sure 100% about offset)

Ok gang, there are a couple of question I need to answer. So the measurement from the ground to the fender is now 25 inches on all 4 corners. So anyone that was concerned about a "hot rod" rake need not worry. And my lip is exactly 5 inches off the ground. These measurements are with no one in the car. The springs have settled nicely.........Phil
