"Smart Phone Integration"

I just ordered a '90 E90 M3 yesterday and while going down the list of options with the dealer, "smart phone integration" came up. I had not seen that before on the website or this forum (I have been lurking around this site for months, now)... I ordered it because it was only $150, but don't know if it would be needed or not. I have an iPhone and it is not compatible with my E43's bluetooth...

I wonder if the smartphone option is beneficial to non-iPhone users... i.e. BlackBerry?

That's what I'd like to know. I have a blackberry and I've ordered this option with the hopes that it will do something for the blackberry. I guess I'll find out in a few weeks when I take delivery.

Cool... let us know! It'd be nice at the least to hook it up to the system to get the additional antenna benefit if not having the ability to play what ever music you have stored on your BB.
