2nd M car to park next to your e9x... whatcha buying?
Been thinking/dreaming about my next M car to park alongside my e90.
Considered an m2, e39 m5, e46 m3, and even an e92 m3. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.... what 2nd M would (or have) you like to own alongside your e9x m3 and why? |

I wouldn’t say no to a Z4 M Roadster. Screaming straight-6 manual convertible, everything my E90 M3 isn’t!
Having owned both a Z4 3.0 manual and E46 M3 manual vert in the past, the combination would be terrific. |

M2 or E60 M5. I totally know the E60 would be a pile of shit and need lots of work but I like the challenge and love tinkering. That V10 would be a great addition to my S65! One thing that would make me do this sooner would be the potential possibility to turn it manual like folks are doing with SMG E46's if it's possible? A fella can dream

Currently in the process of selling my S2000 and am strongly leaning towards an E46 M3. I want something "raw"-er than my E90 but not quite as impractical as my S. I think building a 6mt e46 coupe with CSL bumper/trunk and a turner cf airbox would tick all the boxes for me.
If I didn't need a backseat an E85 Z4M would be on my list for sure. I've thought about an F87 M2 as well but they just don't do it for me looks-wise. |

It's an amazing car but living in a condo in downtown Toronto, mine spends most of it's time sitting in my mom's garage 30 mins away. So I've been mostly driving it to/from her house 1-2x a week. IMO to own something like an S and really enjoy it you need to either track it regularly or have some great roads nearby.
I used to love taking it up to my cottage 3 hrs north of Toronto, as the roads there are twisty and surprisingly well paved. Alas the recent addition of an Australian Shepherd means that without a backseat, the S never gets the opportunity to make it up there. Mine is an 06 in Laguna blue pearl (hence the screenname) - IMO truly one of the best colors on the car. |

Where I live, lots of twisty roads the S2K would be awesome on. I am 6'1" and 260... not sure if I would fit in the S2K. But I want one!!

Like many of us here, I have had a bunch. 1M is still my favorite. E46 would be a great add as well. As much as I hated my F80 Comp, I did a deal with the devil and got into an M4 GTS...underrated car for the money they command now, but I’d still go 1M over it.
