Sagging Roof Fabric - E92 M3 CF 2012 - Prices?

Hi,

I live in Middle East and its super hot and humid.

My 2012 E92 ZCP M3 with CF roof now has a saggy roof.
It's actually completely come undone. Ie 70% is sagging, not just a corner.

Today, I have an appointment with a car interior shop.

Can anyone give me any ideas of prices they have paid to have it fixed?
Just looking for a ball park figurenthat I can work with to make sure the shop doesn't try and pull a fast one
Thanks

I was expecting about 200$

I thought they would just take it off, reglue it and apply it back on. A days work?

What do you think a days labor is worth? You get what you pay for with these things, pay for a quality job you don’t want to do this a second time.

It is unlikely they will be able to reuse the fabric. Generally headliners use fabric/foam sheets, and once it separates there is no real way to repair as half the foam is left on the backing and the rest on the fabric. Obviously yours has completely degraded. When I have had these done in the past you have to clean the backing to remove all the foam residue and the apply glue and put down a new fabric/foam sheet. Not hard work but time consuming. No way I can offer you a price for what it should be in your area since when I needed it done I always pulled the headliner myself.

I've seen members pay 300-500. In terms of labor? Some who knows the E90 could get it done in a couple of hours.

In this order

Sills, Lower B pillar, B pillar, A pillar, C pillar, Rear bench, Driver's/Passengers Seat (not necessary but makes the job easier), Visors, Front and Rear Dome, 3rd Brake Light Cover. (This can easily be done under 60 minutes).

Remove residue (maybe 30 minutes with the right tools), another 60 max for applying glue, material and wrapping up,

The reinstallation. If your looking to save a buck, remove the headliner yourself and bring it to the shop, definitely will hit that 300-500 range then.

Had mine redone with non OEM fabric. It's an extremely close match. Expect to pay about $500 for a quality job.

I just had a local upholstery shop do mine for $560. I don't think it's an exact OEM fabric weave, but you really can't tell.

This just happened to mine as well. I got a sample from Global Upholstery (BM1417) and it appears to be a perfect match. The sample was a few bucks, it came in the mail in a few days. The cost for the material is $35/yard. I will be ordering it and having a local upholstery shop do the work. I figure 4 yards of material plus labor will be around $500USD.

Had mine done with non OEM fabric and it cost $315. The fabric weave looked exactly like OEM.
