That's odd considering it's rated at 250 ft lbs. My M12 1/2" stubby takes off wheel nuts no problem. Battery does make a huge difference though. I use 6.0a XC battery.
Agreed, my m12 stubby takes off all 20 wheel bolts on the 2.0 battery without breaking a sweat. The 6.0 battery breaks them loose within a second and any other thing I've removed on this car including suspension work.

How old is your stubby? Even with age the brushless motor shouldn't deteriorate much. Maybe a bad battery?

Lol it's literally brand new. I bought the kit that comes with the small and larger size battery. I was hoping they would work but tested it on both my M3 and hyundai. I just saw the obsessed garage video where he tests the m12 on his porsche and it took a long time to loosen the bolts. He also recommended using the mid drive version instead

Hm, not sure why it can't handle those. I've removed truck tires with the stubby in a pinch. Had to hit it for a couple of seconds but broke it loose none the less.

Are you using adapters?

No adapters. Here is the obsessed garage video that shows the m12 struggling at the 45:30 mark( long video)

Really great information here... I'm going to buy 3/8" FUEL impact driver and M12 non-FUEL ratchet

The stubby will work fine for wheel r&r if you frequently remove wheels. It's iffy if you don't. Not a big deal, but I would not use the stubby in a situation where having to grab a breaker bar is a problem.
