Am I buying the right m3 clutch kit?
Hello all, it appears my pressure plate springs have fatigued and the clutch will not fully disengage. No sign of hydraulics leaking. The car is an 08 so I need the flywheel too.
So I'm buying the basic LUK 03102 LuK RepSetŪ kit (correct me if I'm already wrong). All these places keep saying it is to be used with flywheel part number DMF128. But can't find 128 anywhere. One person mentioned that it is actually supposed to be DMF148. Which is a lot more available. Spent way too much time searching this already so if someone could clear this up that'd be great! If this is the case then it turns out to be more affordable than I thought. Thanks! |

Luk dmf148 flywheel is $450
Luk 03102 RepSet kit is $250 Less expensive than previous posts mentioned as long as those are the correct two. This dmf128 vs dmf148 apparent typo has got less people confused than I would've thought. But still could use confirmation before pulling the trigger, hoping to get it installed this weekend. |

Hi All,
I have 2008 BMW M3 Convertible (production date May, 2008). Have to replace clutch and flywheel (since after September 2008 previous flywheel was discontinued). I got quoted from dealer in Toronto around $6400 CAD (don't forget 13% tax on top of these $6400!!!) - parts ONLY!!! Got quote from local shop $5800 CAD (tax on top) - parts ONLY. Got quote from ECS Tuning $1147 USD + $70 USD shipping (plus conversion to CAD, custom's brokerage fees, 13% sales tax on top of everything) = $1700 - $1800 CAD approximately - parts ONLY. Finally ended up with $1264.70 CAD from https://www.rockauto.com/ - parts ONLY all taxes and deliveries in... Just can't believe how people got ripped off!!!! Good luck to everybody! |
